Key message

A facilitator led professional learning course on the new "Student use of digital devices" policy

The department’s Student use of digital devices and online service policy supports schools to maximise the benefits and minimise the risks of digital environments to prepare students for life beyond school.

This is a facilitator led professional learning course on the new Student use of digital devices and online services policy. The Digital Devices and Online Services professional learning course is accessed via MyPL where a session is scheduled and then led by a facilitator in the school.

This face-to-face workshop uses a range of delivery methods to develop teacher knowledge of the new policy and provides schools with resources to implement the policy in their school.

The course is divided into 3 sessions with adult learning principles embedded throughout the course. The course design includes differentiated activities within modules 3 and 4 that the facilitator will select based on the experience and knowledge of the participants.

To schedule the course:

  • search on MyPL using its registered code: RG09325
  • schedule a session for your school community
  • download the course materials from the attachment icon at the top left of the course page
  • familiarise yourself with the content before presenting to your school community.
