For teachers
For parents
For students

Key message

Find out which Australians are most prepared to pay for their news and on which platforms, and which are most concerned about fake news.

The Digital News Report: Australia 2019 investigates the attitudes of Australians to news media and politics. Find out which Australians are most concerned about fake news, and which are more willing to pay for it. With sections on survey methodology, news fatigue, trust in news and social media, this report has plenty of material for interesting discussions in HSIE, PDHPE, English and mathematics. The report is part of a broader international survey, so there is scope to discuss how Australia compares to other countries and dig into the underlying causes of similarities and differences.
